Hi,

This is really cool, thanks for sharing it.

I am interested in trying to do some aero analysis on my 914 track car that has highly customized bodywork. Ideally this would be done with CFD (though I'm still working on getting access to decent CFD software). I understand that I may need to coming up with a CAD rendering of my car, but maybe I could start with Sketchup?

Very cool, A good friend of mine has been with Sketchup from the start, I sent him this thread, he digs it. Said to add it to the 3D warehouse once you are done, lots of other porsche's but no 914's yet.

Way cool! I've been using SU for sometime for architecture and I agree, subtle curves take a lot of time...will you be submitting it to Google Earth? I also humbly ask if could share your file with us......puh-leeese! Merci, in advance.

Thanks!

I have tried working on it. You are right it is hard to do the compound curves.

I have managed half a top, but the back fender so far has been beyond me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Could you maybe re-upload it? Try Mediafire.com. It should last longer.
Thanks!

I know there was a Prof. Out of Cali that had some of his students run some simulations in solidworks floworks with different front/rear spoiler combinations. I tried to email him to see if he would share the model, but no response yet.

Wow, saw this when you first stared, this is great, how is the progress on the 914 coming along? If ok with you I could get one of my consultants to use in a presentation I have coming up. As for the Bugatti, my buddy races one in the historics out here, I'll post a pic or two when I get to work.

On a side note, the same guy finished restoring his Alfa TZ2 that is now in gran turismo 5. A big group from Japan came out to scan the car, record engine noises and did some basic handling tests alleged to a computer. They even put. A bunch of sensors on him while he was driving. Cool stuff!

This is great.
I was asking if anyone had a 3d model months ago but never found this.
I would like to get the updated model also. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
