im looking at 2 engines and have the compression results, im hoping to get some opinions on these results and if they are worth getting one is a 1973 1.7 the other is a 1973 2.0
1.7..... #1 130,#2 145,#3 130,#4 145 2 Liter #1 115,#2 115,#3 110,#4 105 Done with engine cold.Spark plugs out and throttle open any info would be much appreciated |

compression test is not valid unless the engine is warm.
leakdown test will give you some clues on a cold motor. That being said...get the 2.0 liter. RIch |

Not to throw a wrench in the fan, but here is a link with some good pointers on the leak down testing http://www.nichols.nu/tip420.htm Again I am not at all being argumentative on the subject, just offering points to ponder.
