If this works it could be a cure all for the 3.0L injection in a 914!

Yep, those are in the early Volvo Bertone Coupes. Couldn't find a pic but thought this link was funny and sad at the same time. Even the volvo mechanic doesn't like the CIS.... Or is it really some other issue... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/screwy.gif)

They also come in the 78-82 240's! This one is out of a 78 242 and only cost me $11.82 tax included at pick and pull!

I think you mean a 260 not a 240. The 240's would have the 4 port version. I have an 80 240 and am all to familiar with that item. On the 240 it is a HUGE PITA to adjust the idle mixture because the intake manifold is in the way.

Nope!! It came out of the 240 and I put the 911 six Bosch injection on it! The Bosch that was on it when I removed it was for a 4 cylinder!

Wow! That's looks really familiar! Congrats on finding the Aluminum distributor tray (still can't find my extra). That should solve the big problem of the huge plastic box that gets in the way. I was told that alot of guys use a six fuel distributor on 4 cylinder cars. Something about using one of the extra ports for a "boost" line!

Yep now I have money, 3.0L motor, 911sc front suspension, lots of wheels and enough stuff to start a project that I don't feel guilty about messing up a real 6!

Should be fun! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)

Don’t flame me, but would that also work with the 2.7 six??
I don’t know any better but looking at it for clearance idea without having to remove engine latch.

Yes it will work on any of the motors but it requires modifing the existing air box like this

Actually Mike Mueller and I were just talking about this. He is a big time Volva guy now. Said those were for a turbo 4 with two ports blocked off from the factory. He has a couple of them I think.

I'll have to find the thread I was reading awhile ago. I know it was about the 6 and 8 cylinder turbo fuel distributors. Just like I'm still looking for my extra Tray!
