Hi all...can someone please verify a number for me?
Porsche number is 901-11-011-11
VW number is 039-251-051D

Is this muffler for a 2.0 liter 914 engine?

Thanks,
Mike

The 039 is for the four cylinder the 901 is for the six cylinder. Look very similar but have totally different inlets

039 251 051 d 73-74 914 2.0 only

901 111 011 11 914-6 only

The 65-73 911 muffler is similar to the six but the curve of the tail pipe is different and therefore if installed on a 914-6 will not fit through the hole in the six valance NOR the notch in the replacement valance

that is the supercession because they now sell the dansk one at the the factory rather than the original Leistritz brand

It would have been better if the pet kept all of the original numbers and then when clicked upon the super-cession or so called t-4 which means discontinued!

Interesting...a local guy has a NOS muffler for sale that has both those part numbers written on it in felt pen. I guess the only way to know for sure is trial fitment.
Thanks for the replies...

They look different! The 914-6 is larger with different inlets!
