The setup is quite experimental. He used square tubes for the exaust collector indeed. The cooling is based on a stock T4 cooling system. But he made the housing 1 1/12 inch wider, wich allows him to install a 1 inch wider cooling fan. The Volumex supercharger originates from a Lancia (037 or Delta) And in case you wonder ... Yes it runs, AWESOME ! Convince yourself : (IMG:style_emoticons/default/w00t.gif) 0'45" Video (WMV) . |

Anyone has contact details from the guy who built this car?
I just bought the car and a chat with the builder would be great! |

Judson made Superchargers for VW’s since the 60’s.
I’m sure more modern ones are more efficient, but I’d bet there is a ton of material out there on what worked and what didn’t... |

You got caught in a long running joke that you can not force induct a Type-4 engine. In reality you can add force induction to any engine, turbo, super charger, or some other form that crams extra air into the engine. You just need to balance it out. And well it is a 2.0L out of a bus, not a 914, so the lower compression helps you on your adding a bit more pressure to the top side of the engine. enjoy it. |
