I did a compression test on a 1974 2.0 engine that is out of the car and cold, throttle wide open, results were 130 give or take 1 psi for all four cylinders, are these good results for a cold test, any info would be much appreciated

That's very good. You'll need to worry about global warming or genetic engineering in our food supply or free radicals or something because you have nothing to worry about there.

Do a leak down test, it will give you better info on your engine condition

With those compression numbers, I wouldn't bother with a leak-down test.
