Can't imagine it's it's over 120k. But it's also clearly a shoe string budget setup. I would want to go down and check out the factory and a complete car before ordering. 917 would be a ton of fun but I would have to see and drive a complete car first.

I'll be looking for a serious machine in 2-3 years. More then likely it will be a GT40. Mainly because it's the most complete replica I have seen and a very professional setup.

A guy in our local car club bought one of these...

But he ended up selling it before he installed an engine. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

44k

Now Nate, forget the jaguar....start thinking about this....
I have seen on on the track...really setup nicely and not a bad price considering what you get to drive.

The 904 shell is 50k FOB in Georgia...that is another one and more worthy of the street....Beck makes that...
Its a bit longer than the original so tall people actually fit.
Not sure if the wheel base is longer or where he got the room, but the cockpit is longer and my head does not hit the roof (6'2") like the real 904...

THey certainly look cool, but the sexy shape is only part of the 917 allure.. The sound of that flat 12 is a huge part of the 917 love afaire.. not saying I'd kick this replica out of my garage, but I'd sure like a motor that sounds somewhat similar to that monstrous pool table..

44k plus 20k to finish the car. 40k for the motor and 20k for the transmission.

It's a pretty car but every time I see a low run replica it's pretty poor quality. As much as I would like to have a XJ13 or a 917 the quality is not on the same level as the GT40 made by superformance. These guys make cars that in my opinion are right up there with ferrari and lamborghini.

904 is just another 914 if ya ask me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stirthepot.gif)

I found their address. They are only an hour from DeLand. The name of the town is Howey-in-the-hills. No shit. It's Florida boonies.

I should drive over. The car looks really cool.

A magazine compared a couple of these 917 replicas a little over a year ago. I will go dig the mag out, I believe it was published in the UK.

The quality among the top manufacturers varies. Some are truer to the original, others look right on the outside, but "improvements" have been incorporated. Let me see if I can find the mag.............
