Hey Trekkor,

Good to see/hear you had fun. That's what it's all about.

And as far as placing last goes... You can only get better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

AX is much harder then it looks. The speeds may be low, but everything happens really fast.
Biggest improvements come with seat time

Have fun at the next one!

cheers,

Jeroen

The first time I did autoX, I stunk up the joint HUGE. Not that I'm any good even now.

Good that you got out and got hooked. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_flagge24.gif)

I'm looking for suggestions to improve my times.

Do you see anything in the photos that I could change?

Thanks to all who have helped.

You should have two price quotes in your email. One with Bilsteins and one with Koni.

Try walking the course with somebody who has years of AX under their belt and try to follow thier lines. 914's are momentium-friendly, so a lot of time can be shaved by being as smooth as possible. That also happens to be very difficult, and seat time is the only real answer

Thanks for coming out! I knew you were excited because you were at the site at 6:30 am right after I showed up to set up the course.

As far a getting better, just keep driving, and get an instructor for your next few events. I was near the end of the list my first few times out and have enjoyed climbing the ranks ever since.

We'll see you out there! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

The good news...I won my class! ( only entry in B ) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool_shades.gif)

Thanks for all the pointers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif)

BTW, Rob, I was out ther poking around, the night before! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

As for exitement, after my FIRST fun, my clutch foot was doing the uncontrolable happy dance to the beat of the band.

Took the next couple of runs to deal with THAT.

Looks like you had a great time!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) They have an autocross out here outside of Tucson that is actually a dedicated track (ok, its an airpark). I was thinking of giving it a try though I don't have any sways, old shocks, slight grinding going into 2nd gear... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

You may have just inspired me...
