All,
I am pleased that Brad and Mark have the beta unit running, in a short time they will get used to my silly setup software and have the engine running to meet all expectations. I have been building additional EMS units for a few more test installs. One will go on a turbo 914, one for Jake to experiment with and one for Brad Mayuer (Midwest 914 Expert). To make things simple for the installs I have built a simple enclosure, to mount relays, injector resistors and EMS unit. It can be mounted in place of a D-Jet box, and used for somewhat universal application. This is not a new idea, Jeff Bowlsby suggested this as a way to do a stealth install. Jeff is a long distance away, so I am blundering away doing this wiring the best I can. When things are fully sorted and I quit changing details in the design Jeff will build an great harness for specific applications. If high impedance injectors are fitted, and the 914 relays are used only the EMS needs to be in the enclosure. Please see my avitar. |

I'm awaiting mine for sure! I'll be able to get dyno comparisons on all of my miost popular engines within a month! I have atleast one of each in the works as we speak... thats a rare thing, and I'll definately take advantage of it.

Hummm.. ask Jeff who suggested it to him.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I was expecting something that fit in the stock location because of our PCA/SCCA rules. Right now the tuning is cumbersome only because of the key's needed to perform the changes. Holding the shift key for right arrow is a pain. I need to be able to arrow back also instead of having to move forward all the way through the numbers. T = for toggle works great S = save works great Not bad. I know it is a easy fix. It is VERY easy to read right now. I love it. B |

I would ask where you got that idea from, but I know I never said anything about it to you!! It's not exactly an idea that will never occur to anyone... Why do you think I have two Megasquirt kits at home (where they've been for quite a few years now)? --DD |

Brad,
I use a Palm M105 ( a very cheap older one) running a program called Online by Mark-Space. The 4 keys on the Palm can be set to 't", ">", "-", "+" from left to right. It then becomes very intuitive to do the setups. You need a null modem cable (swap of pins 2 and three, common on pin 5). I can also modify the code, let me know what charaters you want to use. It will only take a few minutes. You will also need to do a down load, also simple and fast fast thing to do. Kit |

I'll fire up an old Palm pilot I have. I also have a Casiopiea if that will work. JeffK, It is all inclusive. Plug and play instead of "solder and pray" New harness..new coil pack.. boards built by pro's instead of home users. B |

Brad,
You can find "VT Online by Mark-Space" at Palmgear.com Kit P.S. I did an install using the wiring helper today. It took about1 hr and 15 minutes to terminate all connections and bolt on parts. The system looks much cleaner than my prior install. I took pictures before and after. The system started immediately and ran great. It is a turbo setup running N/A for testing, prior to the real install. The real install is going to be a 12 hr drive for me. I want to make sure nothing goes wrong. This is the first test of the EMS2 other than bench and simulator tests. |

No group buy's. There is still packaging and marketing issues to tackle.
If things go well.. we should have several cars with the EMS2 setup on them. One of them will be a 2270. B |

Very impressive. Maybe my next 914.. but this current engine is on its last legs.. I can not wait to throw (ok, so im going to rebuild it for practice, and for another car) this engine out.
I cant wait to see the final results of this. 400 idle? so.. could you actually do that?? lol Andrew |
