How about motorcycle headlights. I doubt that they are uniquely smaller but they might be.
QUOTE I just measured it and there is about 3 1/4" at the outer edge and 3 3/4" at the inner. That's free space below the lid. I think it would be cool if the cover swung down at the back to expose the headlights. There must be something already available that could be fit into the space. I know I've seen other cars using a similar shape. 300ZX comes to mind for one. If I'm not mistaken Dave Cafro already has something like this on his 914. So it's seems like a 3" light might work it that opening. |

Brendin Harb down in LA did a flush mount set that had projector lights for the high and low beams all mounted behind a clear cover that did away with the whole factory setup. I had a picture but I lost it.

The Miataphiles have tried this for years with no good results.
From what I undestand none compare to a e-code H4. Brain Storm has Euro-crappies and Low Pros. Mid-Tenn has square lights that just look bad. I'm sure there are more but I gave up. There not very popular with the Miata crowd. I got used to the Barn Doors and kinda like the bugeye look of the teener. |
