It took me awhile but I am finally getting around to this. I was asked awhile back to have some shirts made with the Area51Werks logo on them. I put some real thought into this and wanted to go one step further. I wanted to make something that you could use when building your Alien projects.

Several of you were asking about welding equipment and what guys wear in the garage. Many were compaining about being in a part of the country where it's too hot to wear leather gear and were exposing themselves to ultra-violet rays and risking burns and possibly skin cancer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welder.gif)

Well I may be way out on a limb here but I wanted to offer a limited edition welding shirt. these are light weight cotton with a (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blowtorch.gif) flame resistant additive.

I only have 11 of these for now. The price will be $ 70.00 shipped. If the price doesn't scare you off and I get more interest I can have more patches embroidered. They are expensive but way nicer than trying to silk screen on flame retardant fabric.

The sizes run small I plan to have this hanging in the garage and use it to throw over my existing cloths when I weld. I usually wear a size medium. The shirt pictured is an XL. So when sizing yourself think about what you will be using this for.

I will also have a run of T Shirts for those that asked about them as well. The shirts will only in black front and rear logo.

Welding Shirts will be $ 70.00 shipped
The price will be $ 22.00 shipped for the short sleeve.
The long sleeve will be $ 26.00 shipped.

Pay pal address is akollah@hotmail.com

If you want to use the mail PM me for my address.

Please send me a PM or post here if you want first dibs on the welding shirts.
Include your size!

I really like the welding shirts. I think we all need to use some protection when welding. I have a friend that lost his brother to skin cancer from tack welding at the mines with no gloves or leathers. That's why I decided to try to offer these. Their expensive but compared to life... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

I haven't ordered shirts yet but they are easy to get. Let me talk to my guy and see what the screen charge is.

Rick I'll take one of the welding shirts. Here is FL it does get very warm during the summer.

I normally wear a L, so would you recommend that I order an XL?

PM sent.

Hi Rob,

Ya, XL should be ok. I sent you a PM. If for any reason you don't like the shirt let me know.

BTW there is a large pocket on the inside of the shirt for your stuff. This keeps sparks from landing inside your pocket. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

DO the welding shirts come in larger sizes? I normally wear an XL, might need 2XL if they run small.

Ok, I am having Old School (Jaime) do the shirts. He said it's cool if I change it up a bit.

I only had interest in black shirts.

Black shirt with left breast and large back logo.

Long sleeve ones see the first post
