Well after saying I would not get a 914 project car because it would interfere with finishing my mid engine Ghia, I have done an about-face and picked up this lovely pile-o-rust. I know Craig...you were kind enough to offer me a car, but I wasn't totally sucked in yet. A friend of mine had this at his shop waiting for him to get to it but decided to pursue other things. I can attempt to justify getting the car by using it as a test bed for more fender stretching (want to see how fast I can do them now that I've got some experience) and to break in the cam on my 2.6 grenade. Perhaps I will have it all sorted out in time for a few late summer runs...we'll see. I'm going to be building an album...and will try to keep it current.....just getting started:
http://allshops.org/cgi-bin/community/comm...d=9980160442904 I think it's a '75, has rust in the hell hole, hood , decklid, and floors...oh joy! Bastards! Again my applogies to those waiting on the video...out of my control at the moment, hopefully soon. John www.ghiaspecialties.com Attached image(s) |

Thanks guys, I added a few pictures of the start of metalshaping on the flares:
http://allshops.org/cgi-bin/community/comm...d=9980160442904 The shape won't be dramatically different for while, depending on how much time I can spend on it. It's a start anyway. John www.ghiaspecialties.com |

Great to have you fully immersed in 914dom. However I'd like to see the mid-engine ghia project too. I remember exchanging emails with you about that project a few years ago (before I decided to buy a 914).
