I have been driving the 914 every day for a couple of weeks now. It actually was up to 74 degrees in Baltimore last week. I am in the city working today and I hear on the radio....

4 to 8 inches (winter weather advisory) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I will not get home till 9:30 pm. And the snow is starting around 7pm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Guess I will enjoy my 914 tonight (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

914s are very good snow cars, if you have decent tires ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

If you have snows or all weather tires, you should be fine.
Get two bags of sand, 50lb bags and put them in the rear trunk, way in the back...it really helps.

It's starting to come down in Wilm, DE. I would close up shop early and head home. Only going to get worse as it builds up on the roads. Good luck. Mark

Joe:

Those two nice days we had last week were awesome! I will remember them fondly as this next round of BS weather rolls in. I would worry more about the salt trucks than the snow. Be careful in that teener!

I drove my teener to & from work in Friday, it was an awesome day. Left it at home today to drive the DD to work, in part because of the weather, and in part because I wanted to take advantage of free parking meters. Wouldn't park the teener on DC streets, at least not as long as the driver's door lock is out of commission.

Good luck with the ride home. Get an early start and keep slow & steady!

Had the 911 out yesterday in the am. It was a bit sunny and the roads were mostly clear. Some "anti-skid" material (ie., gravel) still in some intersections.

This am it was snowing, we got 2.5 inches and all townships around dumped more crap on the roads. The 911 will be off the road for about a week as long as we don't get more snow.

Hope you made it home ok.

911 should work in the snow, it's just an overgrown beetle. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
