Listing this '73 VW Squareback automatic for my friend. It's been somewhat customized during
some point of it's life. I bought the car with the intention of fixing it up just to use as a daily driver , but since owning it, i have yet to touch the car with the exception of removing ragtop frame/rail and canvas roof which was in bad shape; I have too many other projects. the following list are things that were done by the PO as far as i know/have seen: -full length custom ragtop [67" by 36-3/4"] -no rear seat, custom parcel shelf -shaved rear taillights with '32 ford tear drop taillights -customized rear hatch -shaved doors with 1 piece windows -custom parecel tray to cover tall carbs -1.7 Type-4 out of a 914 I had picked up new complete doors and a rear hatch and had gotten a single rear fender, which all resides inside the car waiting to be put on. the car does run, although it takes some cranking for it to start. I have driven the car around the block a few times and car does go into the gears with no issues. the only issue the car suffers from besides the broken ragtop was the engine smokes slightly, I think it is a simple oil leak, but the car runs/accelerates pretty well. As for rust, there is some rust on the driver door and near the headlights and edge around the rain guard, but the channels and floors are solid. Asking for $2700 obo,PM me here, and ill forward his contact info. |
