I'm trying to track down the history of this ex Brumos 914 ( 914 043 2563). Time and Two Seats has it as running 6th overall at Watkins Glen 6 hour in 1971. I was told that 914 043 0705 was actually the car that was used as the 911 crashed and this was a backup car for the race. Is the car in the Brumos museum the actual car or is the car in California the actual car or is this chassis number the car?

Both of these cars are also acknowledged as factory built GTs. I would encourage you to contact Jano Wimpffen and find the source of this listing in the book. As far as I have seen IMSA and FIA did not keep records of the cars that competed in each event. If you are the owner of this car I would like to hear from you. |

The Brumos crew chief claims it was 315 ??? |

BTW I have no interest in any of these 3 cars, I am just trying to find the truth.

Thanks for the information. I was not sure of its history with Brumos having several factory 914/6 GT's and some that were made GT's at the dealership.
