When installing this, can I use the power wire at the starter? Or is there a better way to get power to the unit?

The instructions say to attach the 'white wire to the distributor trigger wire'. Which wire is that?

All help appreciated.

It connects like this...

You pull off the wires to the coil, they become inputs to the MSD. The MSD connects to the coil. Your black/purple wire connects to the MSD tach output.

Jim,
I have one of these installed by the PO -- I can dig in and check to see where it's wired. Might not get to it until this weekend though.
