Most here seem to have the GoPro cam. That is a good cam, but there are others out there.

One is the ContourHD. The nice thing about that one is it's small and self-contained. The latest version has a phone app to view and control the cam. The downside is it uses expensive $30 tablet batteries. Hopefully they are rechargeable cuz each one only lasts a couple hours. Also, the online editing software is junk and they stamp your vid with their logo.

The one I have is Vio POV. The good thing about the Vio is it's a bullet cam - very low profile, w/o the "elephant ear" look that the GoPro has. The Vio has a separate recorder/viewer so you can adjust the cam on your helmet and look at the viewer to make sure it's pointed properly. You then stash the recorder in your backpack and control it with a wireless remote wristband. I use mpeg_streamclip (freeware) to do simple video editing and converting dvi, mpeg, and quicktime formats. I have both the std def and HD cams. HD looks nicer but the file sizes are huge. I'm gonna need a higher horsepower pc - my AMD triple core can't keep up.

Here's a std def vio clip. LA bike commute - crazy guy does no-hands lane change (1:30), then 120 mph flyby at end.

VIO HD clip of my 914. The HD cam has more audio settings I need to experiment with. There is a port to plug in your own mic in case I can't get the onboard mic to work right.
