Take a look at these items:

930 to Bus Flange

What are these for? I'm guessing they might be used to adapt 930 CV joints to VW bus axles. If this is the case I'm thinking they could be used by the V8 guys to build their own bulletproof axles. Am I right?

Yes, they are stronger but not "bulletproof".

The off road guys use them because they can get more travel out of the suspension.
