Fresh video from Mark Scott of the VARA event last weekend at Buttonwillow.
Mark in his early 911 is trying to catch the Frank Beck 914-6 (which he apparently never passed during this race (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ). These are both gorgeous machines with full-race 2.0 sixes. Nice quality and sound on this one, about 18mb. http://www.vararacing.com/2004Videos/Movie.wmv |

Cool vid.
That 914 had some power! Unfortunately it looked like the 911 was winning on the curves... Thanks for posting it. |

Yeah, both of these cars are in the 1900lb, 225hp territory. Race trannies, tweaked suspensions, and 225/50 Hoosiers. Pretty wild.

i hate to say it, but the 911 was driving a much better line.
or, to put it in better words, the 914 was driving a shitty line. it was pulling great tho. i know, i know, it's easy to criticise if you're watching and not driving, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Andy |

Shity line or not. There's a fine line between passing and following. I don't care what you say. Looks like the tail dragger got passed and was following to me.....
