I would like to make Lawrence Bonkowski and Dave Cawdrey honorary attendees in that they can't make the event, and am interested in gnerating ideas for what we can do for them.

For anyone who does not know, Lawrence is in Iraq and Dave has Lou Gehrigs disease, both are dedicated 914 enthusiasts. I know that both of them would give anything to be at the WCC, but they are not able to. So far there is what I have come up with:

Send them a goodie bag, with all the event memorabilia - Rallye Shield, T-shirt and everything else that the regular attendees will receive.

Roving video throughout the event with people wishing them well or saying a few words and shots of everything at the WCC? We would need a volunteer to do this...

One of the group photos with a banner rolled out?

What else can we do?

I'm out of help for now. I'm going to barely finish my car before the trip. I can't think of a better thing to da than honor those two. maybe there's a plaque or something we can have done. Let me know if you want me to ask the trophy shop to do a couple and what should be on them. I do have time for a telephone call.

Nice thought but no time for plaques...

I like the personal touch of a card for Lawrence and Dave.

Hey Sean, welcome back! Can you do the graphics for a simple, nice 914-style card for these guys and email it? we can print it and it wouldnt look like some supermarket card.

I was thinking something simple like this with the whole inside empty for signatures and messages.

Perfect-O-Mundo. Adriatic Blue...a Favorite 914...

Leave it blank inside and make it as big as you can for over 70 signatures...

Lawrence and Dave will love it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

We just need it before the meet...regualar mail will probably be fine.

I will PM my address.

Thanks a bunch.
