Circa 1985-86
73 Datsun ( kids, it used to be Nissan, then Datsun, now Nissan again!)
Fiero red painted in the garage with PPG enamel
1800SSS with 44mm weber sidedraft, my first engine rebuild.
Lots of custom stuff, especially for a kid. Wish I had more pictures of it. Won a couple "shows" with it in the day.

wow! that takes me back. one of the vehicles i learned how to drive in was a '76 620 p/u! took some convincing but, my dad finally let me put a 32/36 weber progressive into it. never ran better! whoop, whoop!(contrary to what people here think of that carb on a 914). too bad there wasn't pertronix ignition back then. must've had a scratched cam for the points, i'd have to re-set the dwell frequently.

i see one for sale in a local lot for $3900. i'm tempted to go have a look...

No turbo, that was on there for about a week, it was a dig at one of my buddies at the time that bought a turbo toyota pickup. It was in the shop more than he drove it.

I have a bunch of buddies in Ca. who were heavy into racing Nissan trucks. One of them still has his. I need to see if I can dig up some old pictures.

Only one I could find. ST wheels, side drafts and welded gears.
