Picking up the original 1.8 engine from my 914 soon. Wondered how tall the block is with heads and no tin or FI parts on it.

I'd like it to fit under my tonneau cover of my truck so it stays dry during the 80 mile trip.

Thanks

Same size as a 1.7 or 2.0 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Seriously, it should fit with ease. I'll measure one if you need the exact dimension.

Slits, the bed of my truck is 17" deep. If you had an exact dimension, I'd appriciate it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

don't know if "less than 24" " helps, but it's about that; ~2 feet

With my old eyes and glasses (and a tape measure)

14.5" without the Oil Filler

17" with the Oil Filler

Hope this helps
