snip... the VIN is 4742916690. ....snip This VIN is at the tail end of the LE run. Need to check for other tell-tale signs such as no targa vinyl, black targa trim, and brackets for front LE spoiler. If it appears to be an LE, then a COA will verify that for you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/creamsicle914.jpg) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) "Brackets"? What brackets? I don't remember any brackets, just a few bolts holding it to the body below the bumper. The Cap'n |

Picture shows the tab on my LE - bent across the torsion bar cap. These were only found on the LEs. Attached thumbnail(s) |

VIN 16690 is within the LE VIN range...(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
It is at the very end, and in that area of the LE VIN range there were a few Black or Lt Ivory cars that were not LE's, as verified by PCNA. I have recently added a list of these known Black/Lt Ivory NON-LEs and LE Tribute cars, find this new list (and photos) at the bottom of the LE Registry webpage. There are <100 known LE Creamsicles existing ...are you sure you don't want to restore it to original? Values on the LE cars are skyrocketing. You can determine if the car is an LE for free. Just call Kristen Richford at PCNA 1-800-PORSCHE ext 5 and give her the VIN, she will look it up and give you a verbal. Here is a better photo of the LE front spoiler brackets: Attached image(s) |

WELCOME!
My '74 is number 16514, so they are pretty close together. Mine is an original L80E Light Ivory car, which I have really grown to love. It also looks pretty good on jackstands (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/i954.photobucket.com-11663-1307078904.1.jpg) |

Gonna check right now... I may change plans and go for a resto to original if it is XD
Doesn't look like it, figured they might of put on the vinyl on the wings but I don't see the brackets for a front spoiler. Plus it seems to be missing all the other things I just read about, oh well. I geuss I will call the number tomorrow just to make sure though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif). |

Oh yeah, I despise how the younger ilk of my generation and even the ones closer to my age treat the english language like a dime store whore. I always try to keep my spelling and puncuation up to at least a personal minimum . I second that. Our generation is certainly taking abbreviations way too far. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) If you need any help at all, there's a few of us in San Diego that are pretty active as far as events go. |

At this point it would seem that a witticism about how I could have my cake and eat it too would be fitting. But I have seen too many people get married to know this is not the case (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif).
