Dave and John, insulation and weather sealing it is. Thanks. The HVAC air intake already provides venting from tank area, so will line it and seal it off. Sure couldn't hurt. And neither to the complements (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Small block V8's do sound sweet at revs. There was a Modena at Laguna Seca and it did a pretty good impersonation of a 283 @7.5k. Chills.

Dave, what part of the country are you in? If it's halfway between GA and CA, John and I will be over for a BBQ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Howard,

You should be able to check the seal to hood clearance by removing front tires and reaching through wheelwells.
