I know this has been covered before but it's been a while. What do you like for spark plugs? I have a 1.8L stocker. And gap? I've heard a few variations on that too. 28 thou? 45 thou?

Thanks in advance,

Chris H.

In my younger days, I fell for the expensive splitfires when they first came out.

For a stock engine and ignition stick with the Bosch supers and factory gaps.

BTW the platinum’s suck.

What wrong with Platinum's?

Other than price...I just paid $135 for a set for my six (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

What Brand?

The Bosch platinum's that I tried in my T1 bug made it run like crap and my mileage went down. Tried them in a customer's T4 bus with the same result.

I've also heard that there’s a minuscule amount of real platinum in these plugs. Like the splitfire, for the most part it's a marketing gimmick
