Is there any other hanger that can be used with the 914-6 set up other than a 914-6 one?

Brad Mayeur and I discuued this last week at the Effingham swap meet. He was looking at my new ones and commented that the 73-74 2.0 were almost interchangeable with the 914-6 ones. He said all you have to do is trim a little off the tab ends and they were the same.
