There are at least two of them here at "914 world headquarters" that have steering column ignition switches.

Have any factory six's come with ignitions on steering column? Was this the case on any '71s? yes. and no. in that order. (I suppose it's possible a MY '72 could have a '71 build date, but that doesn't make it a '71...) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) As far as i know, no '71 /6 had the key on the steering column. They did switch to a /4 column in '72 ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

BTW my '71 (original) six has the key on the left side dash panel as God intended it. Only '72's had it on the column. |
