Well, I found out quickly what the strange snap, crackle, pop noise was coming from my right front. Anyone else ever had the upper strut isolator rubber "pop" out? I had just replaced my struts. I am wondering if I over tightened the strut shaft nut but I seem to remember a limit sleeve inside the bushing? '74 on a stock suspension, absolutely no hard cornering.... Did you remove the strut cover that goes on the inside? The top of the cover acts as a large washer that prevents the rubber from "popping out" ...
