Well, I found out quickly what the strange snap, crackle, pop noise was coming from my right front. Anyone else ever had the upper strut isolator rubber "pop" out? I had just replaced my struts. I am wondering if I over tightened the strut shaft nut but I seem to remember a limit sleeve inside the bushing? '74 on a stock suspension, absolutely no hard cornering.... Anyone else ever had the upper strut isolator rubber "pop" out? Did you remove the strut cover that goes on the inside? The top of the cover acts as a large washer that prevents the rubber from "popping out" ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |
