used 5 speed side shift trans from a 74 914 with a 2.0 motor. was running when parked. as is, 200.00 with shifter and rods. call or text chuck at six 0 one- tw0 five nine- 8 four one four.

Are the shifters and rods the only other parts needed to convert tailshifter to side?

You would also need a different engine mount bar.

i dont know about converting to a tail shift, but if it was a tail shift, i heard you can change the nose cone to the 911 type and use it in a beetle. i dont know if that is true. i have a friend who goes to california 2-3 times a month along I-10 if someone can meet him along the way=free shipping.
