I am starting up a business, and would like to get a domain name registered, the URL reserved, and email using the domain name (ie: @domainname.com) set up. Anyone got any good, yet inexpensive solutions?

Good point, one of my favorite sayings I use on customers is "That price may be lower, but your costs will be higher". Need to listen to my own BS, lol.

Danke!

www.Bluehost.com

Used a few over the years and they have always been extremely supportive.

Cost was right 3 years ago...

Godaddy is ~$10 and very good. How much cheaper can you really get?

Most of the well-known registrars also offer hosting and vice versa. In fact, some hosting companies offer a free domain with hosting.

My wife owns her own design business, and uses Go daddy for many applications.

I think they are legit.

I also use Godaddy and Hostgator. The user interface at Godaddy gets on my nerves a bit as they are always trying to upsell you on something. But I suspect most places are like that.

Overall it's relatively easy to do.

Go Daddy.....What I like there is the customer service 24/7. These guys have spent hours with me helping me transfer domains, match old web pages done in different formats (Frontpage vs. iWeb) and numerous other issues related to conflicts in programs and old host servers. I'm sure they have lost money on me.

I have two domains and their Deluxe hosting with them. The Deluxe version allows multiple domains and e-mails with 150GB of space.

There may be others that are cheaper and perhaps even easier but the customer support sold me. Most of the tech guys seem to have unwavering patience, something I need as beginner in web publishing when a problem arises.

Old domain was registered at Signature Domains. Nice guys but tech help not nearly as thorough and only Mon-Fri.

We use GoDaddy as they seem to have a fun outlook on life, and I like the fact that they support racing.

The basic hosting fees are certainly cheap enough, though they did seem more than interested in signing you up for a lot of services you may or may not need.

Go Daddy. I manage the website and email for a local club. Had an issue with configuring email and their tech support gave me the solution in minutes on a Sunday afternoon.
