I was looking for my heater boxes and found a pressure sensor in a box. It holds 20" of vaccum nicely. Anyone know what engine it's for?

Two numbers on it. 0280100049
and....: 022906051E

Sorry guy's, I actually have a 75-76 engine that has a bad pressure sensor.
The one listed above has never been opened or had the epoxy cap removed.

Next question I have another pressure sensor I was going to use on a 73 GA 2.0. The numbers are:

0280100043
039906051

What's it for?

This one has been rebuilt I think. The problem is I can pump it up but it's not holding vaccum. This is all I have for the 2.0 so discovering this pressure sensor doesn't hold vaccum really kind of sicked. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I have a third one. The numbers are:

0280100043
039906051

It's dead, no vaccum. Who rebuilds these?

Can I use this one good one I have with the 73 2.0 computer or should I swap in the 75-76 computer? 0280100049 022906051E
If I run the 75-75 computer and the 022906051E pressure sensor what can I expect to see from this engine?

Lack of HP?

Without looking it up, the 043s were '73-'74 2.0L. I believe they will work with the 037, 043/044 computers.

If the case is held together with screws or bolts, it has been rebuilt.

What can I expect if I run the 049 pressure sensor with a 037 computer from the 73?

I don't have the number off the 75-76 computer. the tag is missing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Automotion aka Eckler's has rebuilt units by FI Corp at $200, new Bosch at $2K, complain about the shipping price and they give a 20% discount.

They are still in business. The original owner sold out and retired. Bret Industries or Electronics I forget which. He worked on a project with me in the 1990's to put a Turbo AFM on a NA 280Z. Nice guy. If you can't find it under Anaheim try Orange...

Cool, Kinda wierd but I just retested all my pressure sensors and they are now holding. I think my cheap harbor frieght vaccum pump is not sucking.. or should I say it's not suckking soemtimes and not holding other times.

049 is for a 1.7L
043 is for 74-76 2.0L

for a 037 ECU you can use the 049 on a 1.7L or for a 2.0L a 037 MPS is needed.

Ok, thanks, I have a 037 ECU and a 2.0 GA engine. So I need a 037? Crap! I think I just bought a 043 from Bruce. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

If I use the 049 MPS with the 037 ECU on a 2.0? What is the down side? Anyone done this?

It will run really lean! Probably have a lean miss at partload trying to accelerate.
The 037 MPS matches the 037 ECU for a 2.0L and its settings are quite richer than any other MPS...
Send me the 049 and I can reset it for you...for a small price as I have to take it all apart.
