I bought a Sigla from the dealer. Last one in the US at the time - but there were 12 in Germany. Takes a couple of weeks for them to ship stateside - but reagrdless of what your local dealer tells you it can be done.

Rick Ollah bought 3 Chinese windshields recently - but I don't know if he installed any of them yet. Not sure how the fit/finish is - but he would know for sure and he is very particular.

Safelite here in town told me NLA.... We know better. There are Chinese windshields on eBay as well.

I purchased three windsheilds from a place out east. I can't remember the company I ordered from. They advertise on ebay but I just looked. Couldn't find the link to them.

I received a volume discount. I think my total shipped was like $ 460.00 Like $ 153.00 ish each. They are chinese. If the chineses symbol in the corner of the glass bothers me I'm going to put a national park sticker of it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thanks, on e-bay I saw a company by the name of Road Shields. Ever heard of them. Wondering if they are good. Price was about 250. What do you think?

I would have purchased a sigla but I need to replace three windsheilds. Mike Moorman got a Sigla for around 470.00 I think.

I agree also. I bought a Alfa 164 windshield from Richard and he hooked me up with another guy to split the shipping costs. Nice windshield but they are from China.

Has anyone ever successfully restored a windshield? Mine has no cracks or chips, but evidence of a wiper arm scraping at the top and the usual pitting. Wondering if these can be polished out.

Hemmings exotic car had an article on polishing recently, but I can't remember how satisfied they were with the results.

Carr914:

How available are the Sigla windshields? I know my car is going to need a windshield when I get to that point and I would like to put a factory glass in the car. But I do not see being ready for glass for at least 2 years. Might they still be available then and if so what is the cost for these? Thanks for any information you can provide.
