Helo everyone. I need to get a second opinion other than mine. I have a 1970 914 with a 1.7 case and 1.8 pistons and heads I have no clue of the cam.
I set the valves at .006 ex and .008 in. Will I be ok?
I would like to start the car tomorrow and was was wondering what should I go by 1.7 or 1.8 recomendations for valve adjustment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

ps The car is carbed.

Thanks in advance.

I think the settings are all the same.. .006 for all 914 engines... and yes you'll be fine at .006 or .008

In the Haynes Book and in the pp tech article it list
.006 in and ex for 1.7
.006 ex and .008 in 1.8
