Here's why you don't need a rear shock tower brace...

The rear fire wall is double wall

Is that like "Lions and tigers and bears oh my?"

I was wondering why you would cut all of that out of there. What engine you going to put in there? 4? 6? 8? Gimme some details.

Hey....

I'm very interested to see sketches or photos for how you are going to reinforce that section of the trunk again....

I'm probably going to do something similar to my car in order to fit the intercooler.

Cool stuff - good work! Did you keep the motor from you 911 (rip) to put in there??

Fiid.

Engine will be a completely rebuild euro 3.0 Carrera with 40mm carbs

Fiid, I did the rear bracing already on my previous rustbucket (before found this less rusted bucket)
(IMG:http://www.rennware.com/914/pics/reartrunk04.jpg)
Check my website for more pics (of old rustbucket) and sketches (see button below)

cheers,

Maybe not much, but there will be more sheetmetal cut out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
And if not lighter, it will be a heck of a lot stronger
