As tight as that particular cage is against the roll bar, it is definitely NOT out of the way during an impact. I wouldn't drive it without a helmet.

Yeah... sure. "made it myself" Aron, you kill me!
It's a Kravig/Kravig/Florance/Exon/Michelob production. Hey, Dubs was the only young guy I know with enough Del Taco under his belt to bend that chrome moly .125 stuff. With a 10 foot cheater on the handle of the sliding shoe mandrel! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lol2.gif) and, since its already insided the targa bar, my head would meet quite enough uh, crushable metal energy absorbing material before it ever got to the bar to make me into fertilizer. We did talk about that though, which is why we went under the targa bar. |

Every racing group requires the roll bar to be at least 2" above the helmet of the driver. Must be a good reason for this. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
I think your car is the first car I've seen with the roll bar actually lower than your head. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Good luck, keep your head down. Paul |

QUOTE(acox914 @ Jul 11 2004, 06:37 PM) i think id weld it to the firewall like..this problem with this is, with any given race-group you only have a certain amount of "attachement-points" to be legal. you want to be very carefull about where and when you attach to the body of the car ...
