Does anyone know if its the same as the Porsche Alaska Blue? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

needing some touch up paint.

It's not. Then again Volkswagen alaska blue is different to Porsche and BMW.

I can't remember if its either a touch lighter or darker and the metallic flake content is different.

I *think* my Dad's R100S is darker than Porsche alaska blue, but I'm not sure.

You could always have your friendly paint shop mix up a batch of both and put them on cards for comparison.
