I have a 72 tub that I had placed in the classified section. Last week I get an email from someone named Jimmy Cardinal saying he wanted it. So I email him that it is available and I get the following reply.

******
Payment will be in a check from my client in the state who i will instruct to issue you a check of $3,000. (I am only asking $200) When you recieve, cashed it and deducted your money from it, and the remaining balance is to be sent through western union money transfer to my international shipping agent who will come for the pick up at your place as soon as payment is made out to you.

******
Can you say Nigeria? Anyone else hearing from him? Sure glad to know there is international demand for 914 tubs, now maybe our values will increase. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/finger.gif)

I've received 3 of these so far. They stop when you tell them you only accept USPS Money Order and Paypal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I got an inquiry on my Fuchs as well. Sounded pretty fishy. The admins need to delete this ass.

we made the classifieds "open" on purpose so your ads would get more exposure and people wouldn't have to sign up to buy your stuff.

if that spam thing get's out of hand, we might have to reconsider that decision.

how would everybody here feel about a "members only" classifieds section ????
