I was impressed again by how much I could get into my 914 on my recent trip with my son from Phoenix to Kewanee, IL and back. There were a fwe minor things behind the seats - but nothing else in the cockpit.

We brought back more than we took - isn't that always the case!

Here's a pic at home while unloading. I could even fit the roof in the trunk on top of everything. Lets see a new Elise carry this much!

me and a buddy used to take the 914 on trips to Yosemite, tents, sleeping bags, food, stove, clothes, rock climbing gear (lots of that stuff) We'd fill the trunks, behind the seats, even cans of food tucked up front near the washer bottle, and brake resevoir. still fitted the top in the back. lets see we'd be able to hit 100 mph, and got on the best trip 35 mpg (1.7 engine, on non-oxygenated fuel)

914's have surprisingly alot of room for a rip, just have to know how to pack effiecently.

wish i had a photo of all the stuff we had in the car. Nice photo.
