Kevin,

i was not badmouthing boldy - just his mechanic. it's obvious to me that boldy wants to learn about the nuts and bolts of maintaining his 1.7 car and has found this forum (which is second to none). but from the condition of the 2.0 (which is by no means dead, just resting in parts in my garage) i would posit that the 'mechanic' wasn't on top of things.

How much did the insurance pay for the damages Kevin?
I know the insurance company freaked out when I turned in a claim for a broken windshield 3 years ago. Cost of a Porsche unit was $1900, so they knocked off the deductable and I settled for a PPG unit.
We now know lostmybaby got about $4400 to total his 76.

geoff, $2083 at this point. oem bumper top listed at $481 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) . gpr has them (oem?) for $190. i have an ok one in the stash. they allow $59.95 for a 4 wheel alingment. i don't think so. allowed me $200+ install for the flex dam. $114 from aa (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) haven't ordered that yet. so 3/4 of the broken one is still on. i'm not taking the bumper off newmerous times. any locals got a stock valance for a fair price?

I thought Rich had one in his pile of parts. So did Korijo but he might have sold it.
Dave E is the other option for that locally.
