I am removing the harness on my 74' to refirb the engine compartment and interior... Do I remove the harness form the engine compartment into the cab, or visea versa... I would really like to keep the harness attached to the fuse box and remove as a whole unit if possible.. I know a lot people on the board have done this... what are the secerts to make this happen fast and easy? Oh, and the engine compartment is basically empty minus the wiring, clutch, speedo, and accellerator cables.....

Thanks -
Thom

Fast and easy, not likely. It takes some patients. To get them to go through the firewall and such you need to push the rubber seals through before trying to get the wires through. Start with the end of the harness wires first as they branch out from the fuse panel and then from each other.

I tried to post the link, but the http adress was to long, and I don't know how to type the word [FONT=Impact]here[FONT=Arial]and have it link...
Go to the search page, type in the word Harness and under user name?( the right hand field) type Andy...
I think it is half way down on page 2 or 3 of 4 pages...
Sorry, I can't do better than this at the moment.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
