I thought I remembered seeing a link at another msg board, about tire size + offset fitments on stock fenders. I'm thinking 15x7's, with +23mm offset and 205/50/15's? what about 225's? Wonder if they will fit. I am hoping I win some old BBS's that are 15x7's on ebay, and want to see what size tires I can find for them. thanks!

All this talk of "offset" has got me to wondering WhyTF youz' guys are making this so difficult. The easy thing to remember is "back set"......mounting face of wheel to inner rim. 5 INCHES is a good number for a 914....easy to check.
You have to know it to figure offset, so what the hell?? Most 911 Fuch have (approx) this back set. Extra width (like 6 to 7) goes outboard. 914/4 Fuch backset is 4 7/8 as I recall. I'm a firm believer in KISS |
