What happened? now when I apply the brakes the tach quits and the gas gauge goes to empty. Not only then but when I put it in reverse same thing.And the alternator light is glowing dim (it goes bright when I hit the brakes).????? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

fuse, i think. #9 comes to mind.

easy thing to check, anyway ...

I had the same problem..change the fuse even if it looks good.

Well it was the fuse. BUT it blew as soon as I hit the brake....must be a ground ? checked the one above the fuse panel (took it off cleaned and reattached and it still blows# 9) getting late,so tommrow I check the other two..battery ...transmisson. Are there anymore ??

I had this problem years ago and if I recall it was a bad ground. I just can't remember where it was bad ........sorry!
