I've been lookng for the the feeler gauage handle with replaceable blades, like in Pelican's catalog (they only list one for 911 sizes). I've found several straight handles at the $20 range and then found this one for $5.

2.0 sizes .006 & .008 on one tool.

Whadda U Think? Will this one work? Other sources?

The handle just gets in the way, and room to move is scarce with the engine installed in a 914. Proto makes foot long feeler gauges. If you were to order one each in .006" (J006L)and .008" (J008L), you'd be set for life. I bought 10 probably 10 years ago, and I'm on my second or third one. I do more valve adjustments than most of you ............... Buy a package or two, share them with other 914 owners (or VW owners). 356 and 912 owners need an .004" gauge, too. These don't work well on 911s, although they're OK when the engine is out of the car.

Edit: That thing you show is gonna wear out in a few uses, and you're stuck spending another $4.50 and shipping.
