Hey all,
Diving into the vacuum lines- (I'm the "one" w/the '72 1.7 that won't idle/runs rough) anyone know how much I'll need, in what sizes?
I think it's 13mm, 8, 7, 5,4mm?
I'd rather not get 15 ft of each, at the prices I've seen locally...is there any real reason to pay for fancy braided line?
Many thanks.

Get a tape measure and measure what you got. It will take you two minutes. There are a couple diagrams out there that will help with the sizes of the hoses.

If you do a search you'll find various diagrams and threads covering this. Here's one diagram:

I know I could just spend "A little more" time under the hood w/ a tape measure, but since there are so many great tech articles out there, why not take advantage of that?
Thanks for the link, that's just what I was looking for!

Anyone else have a wife who doesn't understand that the concept of time doesn't apply to 914 troubleshooting? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)
