Hi all

I have a line on a nice Toyota truck locally w/ the 22R engine.
Want a truck mostly for hauling sh-t around, but i'd like to be able to tow the 914 along on the occasional AX, etc. Is this little truck going to be too anemic for the weight?

I drove a 22R 5 speed work truck for years. Great little truck, ran like a top, but with a bed full of heavy stuff, it was an effort to get up a hill. I don't think I would have pulled a trailer any more than around town a little bit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I really think it would have bogged down towing a car.

The 22R is a fine little motor for hauling a Toyota around. But I don't think it's up to the task of towing much of anything. MAYBE flat towing a 914, but you won't be happy.
