Does anyone have any idea what it costs to ship a car from Cali to the midwest? Just looking for a ballpark price. Was curious if any of you all have ever shipped one before. Thanks.

I looked into shipping a 14 from Ca to NC about two years ago. I think the range was ~ 800 - 1000. I did a search for car transport on google and found a site that put your info out to bid like the mortgage places, worked great for me. If I had bought the car I was able to find someone that was competitive and met all my requirements.
Good luck -Pete |

I've used Thomas Sunday (they're in Hemmings).
I shipped a '73 Javelin/AMX from OK to CA, enclosed carrier 1200.00 about three years ago. I just sold another car a couple months ago that went from CA to SC, open carrier. The buyer paid about 800.00 for that trip. The things to consider: Open or closed carrier. Do you want to deal directly with the trucking company or use a 'broker'? Get a Hemmings and call some of the companies there. Some of them vary wildly in their pricing. Good luck. |
