If you are running larger wheels and tires under your stock fenders or have installed flares could you please post a picture of your car? Also please include the following info to describe what we are looking at -

Wheel size and offset? If other than Fuchs list Manufacturer.
Tire size?
Any spacers?
Steel or FG flares?
Fender lip rolled?

Could someone please explain to me the whole Fuchs fitment process.
Looking to put 8x16's on my car with steel flares.

What offset should I be looking for?
Whats an 8J ?
Whats a deep 6?
Whats a heart?
Difference between 911, 944, 951 ??? Whats the deeper lugnuts do for offset?

I'm sure others will chime in,,
deep 6 refer to hard to find 15x6 fuchs that came on certain 911s. The lip in the front is like a 7" rim, but the rim is really a 6"
Hearts refer to the opening shape of the cut outs in a 5 spoke fuchs rim. specifically the valve stem opening. it really is heart shaped.

I don't know the rest.

Nothing constructive from me about the fitment but the wheels are called Fuchs. The "s" at the end is neither optional nor does it indicate plural.

It's a name and as such always spelled the same.

That i can answer. Simply replace the "J" with inch and you have yourself a 8" wide wheel.

I'm also in the market for 8x16's for the rear of my flared car.


Just read the chart and it looks like I'm way off. I thought the 951 rim had a different offset. The chart says the 951 rim is closer to the chassis. Is that right?

Rhyming it with "books" is pretty close.

The "J" in "8J" refers to there being a safety bead in the rim to keep the tire from rolling all of the way off it in a blowout.

Before I wrecked this car. It has subtle flairs, and 7.5x17 in front and 9x17 in rear on Mille Millia repro Cup1 wheels from a 944. These fit with no spacers needed. Now Scotty B has been using them while my next car is being worked on by him. The ass end is sitting high because there is no engine or tranz in that pic, IIRC. Later, it lowered out nicely.
