Didn't even know this thing existed til jake told me about it. OEM part for vanagon blower housing. Keeps bigger stuff out of your fan and therefore off the cooling fins of your cylinders.
Bolts right on (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) I was going to fabricate one but now don't have to. dr Attached image(s) ![]() |

i've seen a lot of t-4 bus' with those. i felt they would be redundant on a 914, how much lose crap do you have in your engine compartment?. good for a rear orientated engine with the fan facing you. your tie could get sucked in. it would be a pain to remove in a 914 when you wanted to check the belt tension.

Well I'm one of the few of the misguided who is not running any sealing tin on my motor, that's why I was more concerned about stuff getting in the fan from under the car.
Found it at The Bus Depot online for $8. busdepot.com, part# 021-119-207. |
