Why not buy one of the seals that two 914club members are selling? Just curious.

Big whoopity-doo - who cares about that seal. There's lots of reproductions out there. I think both Camp914 and Sam Gore sell them. Lots on ebay too.

I thought they had finally come up with a good quality repo front targa seal. That would be news.

No matter how good they make them, they'll never match a Sammy Seal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

My Sammy seal worked great and was only $40 if I recall correctly.

I also didn't have to wonder if AA would ever ship it.

I got free parts from AutoAtlanta the other day. Instead of leaving stuff off the order, there was a set of 911 front pads and a rear caliper rebuild kit in the box. To be honest, I emailed, but they never requested the parts back. I do think they have a problem when you order from someone other than George, or they have a packing problem.

I bought from Sam, good seal still squeaks. It's because all the other fastener stuff on the top is worn

I just installed a new OEM seal yesterday (bought a car a while back that had ALL oem seals in never-opened bags in the trunk). The original seal has flocking (spray-on felt like inside a glove box) on the seal to stop the sqeaks.

If I did not have that new seal already, I would have definitely gone with a sammy or kerry? seal.

The top can also squeak on the rubber blocks that are part of the rear latch.

Try rubbing glycerin (from the drugstore) on the seals to lubricate and stop the squeak.

I bought two of them from Sammy, one for my yellow car and one for my Chalon. I have not installed the one on the chalon yet but the one on the yellow car was great.

And for the east coasters, Kerrys914 (Kerry Herr in PA) sells them too. That's who I bought mine from.
