I've done a few Sammy seals and been happy with them.
The squeeks are from the rear targa latches. Dry rubber, eek eek. |

As I have been restoring my car, one of the issues has been getting good trim so I have started noticing certain things. The rubber sits on top of the trim. The trim has a coating (I believe bright dip anodize). Many of the trim pieces I have looked at have the coating rubbed clear through even with a factory "fuzz coated" gasket that slides much easier. Something to consider. I opted for an OEM seal with the soft coating to protect the nice trim I found. It's really not just a squeek issue but a friction issue as well....If that's not a concern, go with the cheaper versions and save some $$....

I do think they have a problem when you order from someone other than George, or they have a packing problem. Thomas ordering directly from George himself makes NO difference. I have had G. screw up orders twice. I'll get one from Sammy or wait until GPR carries it AA - Never forget....Never again |
